Online estimators
The online estimators let you estimate or compare payments you may be able to receive, based on your current or proposed circumstances.
You can:
- compare Parental Leave Pay and Baby Bonus (refer to how the Paid Parental Leave Comparison Estimator works)
- compare Family Tax Benefit and Youth Allowance payments (for teenagers aged 16-19 years in full-time secondary study for the changes that came into effect from 1 January 2012)
- estimate Family Assistance including Family Tax Benefit paid fortnightly and/or Child Care Benefit for approved child care
- estimate Family Assistance and Child Support (if you receive or pay Child Support )
- estimate Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate in a dollar amount, Child Care Benefit percentage, eligible Child Care Benefit hours, child care out of pocket expenses
- estimate the possible impacts a pending compensation settlement will have on compensation affected payments.
Start the Online Estimators to calculate your own entitlements. You do not need to register to use this service. For information about Customer Online Service options or to register, refer to Customer Online Services.
Child Care
The estimator lets you estimate child care entitlements that you may be able to receive, based on your individual circumstances. The estimator can help you make informed decisions about child care.
The Australian Government's online hub for parents, mychild.gov.au, can be accessed through the Child Care Estimator. This will give you information about child care services in your local area, including fee schedules. You can then use this fee information in the Child Care Estimator to estimate your yearly cost for child care.
