Why does Centrelink request attendance information from educational institutions?
Centrelink collects attendance information from schools, colleges or distance education providers to determine whether a student meets the specific attendance requirements for payment of ABSTUDY School Term Allowance. The request is made under Section 343(1) of the Student Assistance Act 1973.
