Employer Contact Certificates
To qualify for payments of Newstart Allowance and Youth Allowance customers are required to be actively seeking and willing to undertake any work which they are capable doing. This includes full-time, part-time, casual and temporary work.
We issue Employer Contact Certificates (ECCs) to some customers receiving these allowances so that we can verify their job search efforts and determine their eligibility for payments.
A customer issued with ECCs will ask you to sign an ECC to verify that they have made a genuine attempt to find work. They will then return the ECC to us.
