The Australian Government is committed to reducing 'red tape' for the business community and making interacting with Centrelink easier. In addition, the Minister for Human Services is committed to reducing the number of letters Centrelink sends to organisations, businesses and customers each year.

Centrelink is exploring different options for introducing eBusiness data exchanges with financial institutions and planning is well under way for a 'proof of concept' trial with banks. eBusiness will provide financial institutions with the option of electronic transfer of information as required by Centrelink.
