• Bali Assistance - assistance for victims and their families affected by the 2002 Bali tragedy.

Crises

• Mumbai Crisis - November 2008 - immediate, one-off financial assistance for Australians adversely affected by the crisis.
• Middle East Crisis Assistance - Centrelink supported New South Wales Government agencies to meet and greet people at Sydney evacuating Lebanon.

• Cyclone Jacob Assistance - 2007 - immediate, short-term financial assistance for Australians affected by Tropical Cyclone Jacob.
• Cyclone George Assistance - 2007 - immediate, short-term financial assistance for Australians affected by Tropical Cyclone George.

• December 2006 Bushfires - assistance for victims directly affected by the bushfires in Tasmania and Victoria.
• South Australian Bushfires - Recovery Assistance - assistance for South Australians affected by the 11 January 2005 bushfires.
• January 2006 NSW and VIC Bushfires - assistance for people who lost their homes in the 2006 New Year weekend bushfires in New South Wales and Victoria.

Floods

• South West Queensland Floods - March 2010 - Centrelink worked collaboratively in the community recovery and disaster relief efforts following the storms and flooding in South West Queensland in March 2010.
• New South Wales Mid-North Coast floods - November 2009 - Centrelink provided immediate financial assistance to Australians affected by the flooding in Mid-North Coast region of New South Wales in November 2009.
• North Queensland floods - January/February 2009 - Centrelink provided immediate, short-term financial assistance to Australians affected by the flooding in North Queensland in January/February 2009.
• Samoan Tsunami - September 2009 - assistance to people who have been adversely affected by the Samoan Tsunami which occurred on 30 September 2009.
• North Queensland Floods - January/February 2009 - assistance for victims directly affected by the floods in North Queensland.
• Ex Gratia Assistance - NSW Mid-North Coast Floods - March/April 2009 - Ex Gratia assistance for Australians still being affected by the flooding that occurred in the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales between 31 March 2009 and 1 April 2009.
• North Western Queensland Floods - January/February 2009 - immediate, short-term financial assistance for Australians affected by the flooding in North Western Queensland region in January/February 2009.
• Queensland Storms and Flooding Assistance January & February 2008 - immediate, short-term financial assistance for Australians affected by the recent storms and flooding in the Mackay and Central Queensland regions in 2008.
• Gippsland Floods Assistance - 2007 - immediate, short-term financial assistance for Australians affected by the recent flooding in the Gippsland regions of Victoria in 2007.
• 8 November 2005 Floods (NSW & SA) - assistance to help people meet essential costs for immediate out of pocket expenses where people lost their principal place of residence as a consequence of the flooding.
• December 2004 - Tsunami Recovery Assistance - assistance for victims and their families directly affected by the December 2004 tsunamis.

• Sumatra Earthquakes - September/October 2009 - assistance to the people who have been adversely affected by the earthquakes in Sumatra, Indonesia that began on 30 September 2009.
• Equine Influenza - assistance for people and businesses who faced financial hardship as a direct result of the Equine Influenza quarantine measures.
