Middle East Crisis Assistance

In response to the Middle East Crisis in July 2006 Centrelink supported New South Wales Government agencies to meet and greet people as they arrived at Sydney airport following their evacuation from Lebanon. Centrelink social workers assisted the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade staff in Cyprus and Turkey, offering counselling and support services to affected Australians.
