Payment and claiming - Victorian Bushfires January/February 2009The Australian Government has announced federal assistance for people affected by the fires that have devastated Victoria. Support is available for anyone who has been affected by the fire who meets the criteria. You do not need to be an existing Centrelink customer to receive this assistance. Lodgement Once you have printed and completed the form, you can take it to your nearest Centrelink Customer Service Centre or Centrelink Agent. orFax your claim form and supporting documentation to 1300 727 760. Online claimingYou can lodge your claim online. If you are not already registered for Centrelink online services, you will need to register to make an online claim. Once you have registered you can logon using the online claim button at the top right of this page. Telephone claimingYou can also claim over the phone by calling 180 2211.
