What is an asset?
An asset is any property or possession you own either partly or wholly. It includes assets held outside Australia and debts owing to you.
- Assessable assets - assets which are assessed when claiming a payment from Centrelink.
- Exempt assets - assets which are not assessed when claiming a payment from Centrelink.
- Non-Australian assets - assets you have which are outside Australia.
- Liquid assets - readily available funds which you can access within 28 days of date you last worked.
- The value of assets - how much are your assets worth.
- Disposing of assets - what happens if you dispose of or gift assets.
