Registering an intent to claim
You can register an intent to claim which means you are paid from the earliest possible date. Once you have registered your intent to claim, a Centrelink Customer Service Adviser will contact you within 2 days to assist you with your claim and send you a claim form.
You can also register an intent to claim by phoning us on 13 2300 or by visiting any Centrelink Customer Service Centre.
Information to make a claim
Depending on your situation, we may need more information to assess your claim. This includes providing us with:
- proof of identity
- proof of your age and residence
- your income and assets
- your partner's income and assets.
Did you know?
- A family member or friend can phone us on your behalf to register an intent to claim.
- If you download and complete a claim for Age Pension, your claim may only be paid from the date you lodge your form, or when you register your intent to claim.

Forms to complete
Step 1
You will need to read the information you need to know about your claim for Age Pension and Pension Bonus Scheme form. It contains information you need to know before lodging your Age Pension claim.
Step 2
You need to print and complete a claim form that best suits your own circumstances.

Step 3
Print and complete your claim forms. Once completed, mail your forms to us or return the forms to your nearest Centrelink Customer Service Centre.

- You can still register your intent to claim before lodging your claim forms with us.
