You can register an Intent to claim for Parenting Payment. This will help you get paid from the earliest possible date.
You can only be paid from the date you register your intent to claim or contact Centrelink to make a claim.
Note: You may need to attend an interview at your nearest Centrelink Customer Service Centre.
