How do I claim Youth Disability Supplement?

There is no claim for Youth Disability Supplement. Entitlement will be assessed at the time of your claim for Disability Support Pension, Youth Allowance as a full time student, job seeker or Australian Apprentice, or ABSTUDY as a full time student or Australian Apprentice. In most cases a Customer Service Advisor will refer you to a Job Capacity Assessor for assessment. A medical certificate or treating doctor’s report is required from your doctor.

Change in circumstances

If you advise a change in your circumstances, and you feel you meet the qualifications for Youth Disability Supplement, you may ask to be assessed for the payment. In most cases a referral to a Job Capacity Assessor will be arranged. A medical certificate or treating doctor’s report is required from your doctor.
