Emergency assistance:

  • Crisis Payment - to assist people in severe financial hardship who have been forced to leave their home and establish a new one because of an extreme circumstance (for example: domestic violence or their house burning down).
  • Social Worker - can provide help with counselling, information and a variety of other services available in the community. Social workers and Customer Service Officers at Centrelink are able to provide information on local and community agencies within your area who may be able to assist you.
  • Onsite Assistance - if your community has experienced a disaster Centrelink may be able to offer onsite assistance.
