The expos will provide you with information about job opportunities in Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria now and into the future, including jobs created by the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan.
You can also find out how you can access training and other assistance that could lead to work.
If you're a jobseeker, or just interested in finding out about opportunities in your region, you're invited to attend an upcoming Centrelink Jobs and Skills Expo. Meet in person with employers, education and training providers, Government and community groups.
There'll be special guests, entertainment, giveaways, a sausage sizzle and more. Free Centrelink Jobs and Skills Expos Financial Information Service seminars will also run throughout the day.
It's all about bringing real jobs and job pathways to areas hardest hit by the global financial crisis.
Bankstown Jobs and Skills Expo
The recent Centrelink Jobs and Skills Expos in Gympie and the Sunshine Coast in QLD were a great success with over 5,000 job seekers attending. So far nearly 93,000 job seekers have attended the 20 expos, with over 8,200 people being placed in jobs. Stay tuned for more Jobs and Skills Expos to be held around the country in 2010.
