Important changes to job seeker attendance arrangements

From 1 July there will be changes to what happens if you are unable to attend a compulsory appointment or activity with Centrelink or your employment services provider.

If you are a job seeker receiving Newstart Allowance, Youth Allowance, Parenting Payment or Special Benefit (unless you are exempt from participation requirements) these changes will affect you. It is important that you understand these changes as non attendance at an appointment or activity may affect your Centrelink payment differently, and more immediately than before.
