Payments if you are having a baby

Having a baby can be a major event in your life. While there is no specific payment for when you are pregnant, you can refer to the Individuals section of this website to see if there are other payments and services which may help you during your pregnancy.

You may be eligible for Family Assistance or Parental Leave Pay after your baby is born. You can make a claim for these payments up to three months before the birth of your child. It's a good idea to have a look at the information about payments and services in the Parent or guardian section of the website.
