Listed below are specific services and programs that you can use when you are looking for work.

  • Australian Apprenticeships Access Program - provides pre-vocational training, job search support and post-placement assistance for people who are interested in obtaining an Australian Apprenticeship.
  • Australian Apprenticeship Centres - provide employers and employees with general information and assistance on all aspects of the Australian Apprenticeships program.
  • Australian JobSearch - refer to the online database and search for jobs from the Job Services Australia.
  • Career Information Centre - provide information and support to students, the unemployed or people who are looking at their career options.
  • Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) - activities to develop participant's work and employment skills.
  • Green Corp - a community program where young people are given the chance to preserve and restore the environment.
  • Indigenous Job Search - a free online service for Indigenous job seekers.
  • Indigenous Wage Subsidy Card - a wage subsidy program for employers who employ Indigenous job seekers.
  • Job Capacity Assessment Provider Services - helpful information for providers of Centrelink Job Capacity Assessment Services.
  • Job Services Australia - job services provided nationally by a group of organisations.
  • Job Search Facilities - Centrelink provides a range of self-help PCs and printers.
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP) - aims to help job seekers improve their language, literacy and numeracy skills and gain work.
  • National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition - provides information and services to helps people have their overseas qualifications recognised in Australia.
  • New Enterprise Incentive Scheme - is for unemployed people who wish to start their own business.
  • Wage Subsidies - money is paid by a Disability Employment Service to subsidise wages for people with disabilities entering work.
  • Work for the Dole - helping job seekers improve their employment prospects by providing opportunities for work experience.
  • Workplace Modifications - reimbursement to employers for the costs of workplace modifications when employing people with disabilities.
