Auslan Publications
Auslan is the sign language used among signing Deaf people in Australia in their everyday communication with each other. It is a visual/gestural language that has no written form and is now used by approximately 10 000 deaf people in Australia.
Auslan has its own distinct grammatical structure and is composed of over 4 000 precise hand shapes and movements.

- Interpreter and translation services - available at interviews for people of non-English speaking backgrounds.
- National Relay Service - helps people who are Deaf or who have a hearing or speech impairment contact non-TTY telephone numbers.
- Nominee - you can nominate another person to contact Centrelink on your behalf.
- TTY Service - helps people who are Deaf or who have a hearing or speech impairment contact Centrelink.
