Improved Centrelink access for people in Harden
New South Wales media release
Wednesday, 7 April 2010
Residents of Harden and surrounding areas have better access to Centrelink services, now that a Centrelink Access Point is open in the town.
The Access Point, which is located at the Harden Shire Council Library, means customers are able to make use of self-help facilities to complete their Centrelink business.
Customers are able to access free telephone, fax and photocopier services to help them complete their Centrelink business.
Centrelink Area Manager, Peter Gillies, said it’s important for small communities to have access to government services.
"The new Access Point at Harden means the whole community and surrounding areas will benefit from more convenient access to Centrelink services.
"Customers will be able to pick up forms or brochures at the Access Point or use the dedicated telephone line to speak to a Centrelink call centre.
"Locals will also be able to have their proof of identity documents sighted and copied at the Access Point," Mr Gillies said.
The Harden Access Point is located at the Harden Shire Council Library, East Street, Harden, and is open from 10:30 am to 5 pm weekdays, closing each day between 12 pm and 12:45 pm.
