Inner city's community engagement officer in action
New South Wales media release

Vulnerable people who live at Glebe House are in good hands thanks to Centrelink Community Engagement Officer (CCEO) Bryce Nimmo.
The CCEO program sees 90 specialist Centrelink staff, located across all capital cities and many regional centres, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
Bryce’s job is to ensure people at the residential therapeutic unit have better access to income support and many other services through Centrelink, for support in their transition from addiction into life and the community again.
"The sense that you really are making a difference in someone’s life is what gets me excited about my work," Bryce said.
"I also do a lot of work with prisoners before and after their release to try to ensure that they don’t fall through the gaps and go back to offending afterwards.
"I work with people who have ended up in situations where they feel helpless to change things for the better, and it’s good to have a hand in empowering them to change things."
