Katoomba Centrelink team shines in customer satisfaction award

The busy team at Katoomba Centrelink have been recognised with an award for consistently high customer satisfaction and low waiting times.
Centrelink Area Sydney West Manager Steven Davison will visit the Katoomba office next week to present the Front of House award to staff.
"We value customer service above all else at Centrelink, and in Katoomba the staff work hard to deliver for their customers, and it gives me great pleasure to recognise that."
Local manager Jennifer Ross said she was proud of her 12-strong team and the efforts they put in every day to reduce the waiting times for customers and to resolve their issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
"We take customer satisfaction very seriously, and we usually average around 95% of people feeling happy with what we’ve done for them.
"We always meet people in the queue, we won’t just leave you standing there, we come out and greet you and find out how we can help and direct you to the right person.
"It’s the quality of the people on our team here that I always say is the reason for our high customer satisfaction ratings. They take responsibility for their work and see it through so the customer goes away happy.
"They are very experienced and very knowledgeable and they’re focused on what will help the customer. I’m really proud of the whole team."
