New South Wales media release
Wednesday, 21 July 2010
Medicare Australia and Centrelink will work side by side under one roof for the benefit of customers in Moree as of Monday, 26 July 2010, Human Services Portfolio General Manager Hank Jongen announced today.
"For the first time, both Medicare Australia and Centrelink will offer full services in one place for the convenience of their local customers in Moree," said Mr Jongen.
"Both agencies will operate out of the existing Centrelink Customer Service Centre site at 11 Auburn Street, Moree.
"The former local Medicare Australia site at Balo Market Shopping Village, Balo Street, Moree, will close.
"This change makes life easier for our shared local customers who can now do business with both agencies in one handy location.
"The local Centrelink and Medicare teams are ready to go and we’re all really excited about this move, which boosts the level of service available locally from the Human Services Portfolio."
