Get Centrelink information at the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days

Residents of Mudgee and surrounding areas will be able to get information about the range of Centrelink services and payments at the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days on Friday 16 July and Saturday 17 July.
Centrelink Rural Services Officer Paul McMahon invited visitors to the Field Days to stop by and have a face-to-face chat with Centrelink representatives about the kinds of assistance available.
"Specialist Centrelink staff including Rural Services Officers, a Financial Information Service officer and a Social Worker will be on hand to answer questions and provide information," Paul said.
"We will also be joined by a staff member from Medicare Australia to provide information about other Australian Government services."
Paul said the Centrelink representatives at the Field Days will are available to provide information on the whole range of Centrelink services and programs.
"The Field Days are one of the biggest events on the local calendar each year, and by attending we can ensure the entire rural community is aware of the various types of support available.
"For example, we will be able to provide information about recent changes to Youth Allowance that may affect local students and their families.
"We will be running ‘Succession Planning’ seminars throughout the day, so farmers can get information about how to transfer their farm to the next generation, and how this affects Centrelink entitlements," Paul said.
A Financial Information Service officer will be available throughout the day to provide free and confidential information to assist people to make informed financial decisions, and you don’t need to be a Centrelink customer to access the service.
"I’d encourage anyone who is at the Field Days to come down and visit us at site 343. We’re in your community, and here to help."
