Reconciliation Week Expo

Centrelink staff in Alice Springs are celebrating the rich culture and history of Indigenous Australians by organising, and taking part in, a Reconciliation Expo in Todd Mall on Friday 28 May from 9 am to 3 pm.
The expo will involve 31 organisations with 22 organisations having stalls to give information about their services and support for Indigenous Central Australians.
| 10 am | Formal opening and ‘Welcome to Country’ by Lhere Aretepe Aboriginal Corporation |
| 10:30 am | 10 residents from Hetti Perkins Hostel arrive as special invited guests |
| 10:30 am | Guest speaker: Lhere Aretepe – The traditional owners will tell stories about the Central Australian land |
| 11:30 am | A representative from the Beanie Festival will hold a Beanie Making session for the special invited guests from Hetti Perkins Hostel |
| 12 noon | Guest speaker: Irrkerlantye Learning Centre are a central resource point for Indigenous and non Indigenous people and will talk about their services |
| 10 am to 2 pm | Free face painting and kids activities by Irrkerlantye Learning Centre |
| 1:30 pm | Guest speaker: The Central Australian Stolen Generation and Families Aboriginal Corporation will talk about their Family Link Up Program & Reconciliation |
Centrelink is providing a free sausage sizzle with free tea and coffee. Aboriginal Employment Services have also contributed to the sausage sizzle for the day. The Apex Club are providing the barbecue and assistance to cook from 9 am to 3 pm.
