Centrelink rural and financial experts will be on hand at AgroTrend 2010 in Bundaberg this week to reach out to those on the land and make them aware of how Centrelink services can help in their business and personal lives.
AgroTrend is held from May 6–8 at the AgroTrend public grounds in Kendalls Road, just opposite the Bundaberg airport.
The event showcases products and services from the horticultural industry, attracting thousands of visitors from across Australia and overseas.
Rural Services Officers will be available throughout the event to talk about Centrelink services and make appointments for on-going help.
Centrelink Financial Information Service Officers will also be on hand to discuss any issues relating to money matters such as retirement, superannuation and investments.
Bundaberg Centrelink Manager, Cory Pignatelli, says staff will be keen to talk to AgroTrend visitors about Centrelink services.
"We can provide details of Centrelink programs, assist with the completion of application forms and provide information about what else may be needed for Centrelink to process claims," Mr Pignatelli said.
"For many rural people, accessing a Centrelink Customer Service Centre can be difficult and I urge all those attending this event to speak with our Rural and Financial officers about any concerns they may have."
Rural Services Officers (RSOs) and Financial Information Service Officers (FISOs) are located throughout rural and regional Australia and respond to the needs of rural communities.
