Media representatives and journalists should speak with the relevant Centrelink media contact for assistance with media enquiries relating to Centrelink or the programs and services we deliver. You can also email your media query to media@centrelink.gov.au. Please include your phone number and any other contact details, as well as the deadline for your story. The mailbox is monitored during standard business hours. If your enquiry is urgent, please call us.
Policy and customer-related media enquiries
Centrelink delivers payments and services on behalf of 9 Government policy departments. While Centrelink can explain general eligibility for these payments and services, we encourage media representatives seeking comment on current or proposed legislation to contact the relevant Government policy department media contacts.
If your media enquiry relates to a customer's personal circumstances, the Privacy Act 1998 prevents us from commenting on or disclosing personal information to media representatives except where specified exceptions apply.
