How to register for an australia.gov.au account

1. From the Centrelink website, select log on
2. Enter Customer Access Number (CAN) and password
3. Select logon
4. Answer the secret question and click continue
5. Select yes
6. You have the option to use your existing secret questions by selecting the check box
7. Select continue
8. There may be a short delay
9. Select the register button
10. Read the terms and conditions
11. Select yes to agree to the terms and conditions
12. Select continue
13. Type in a password and confirm the password
14. Password must be between 7 and 20 characters and contain both letters and numbers
15. Select continue
16. Enter the answers to your secret questions.
17. If you have chosen not to copy the secret questions from your Centrelink account you will need to setup five new secret questions and answers
18. Select continue
19. Please record your user ID and/or print this page and select the corresponding check box
20. Select continue
21. This page will be displayed if the account linking is successful
22. Select continue

What next? To access your Centrelink Online Services account, simply go to the Centrelink website and select australia.gov.au before clicking log on and entering your australia.gov.au User ID and password then select continue
