How do I claim Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP)?

You need to put in your claim form for the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) at the nearest Centrelink Customer Service Centre, or alternative site approved by Centrelink. Telephone Centrelink on 13 2850, or visit your nearest Centrelink Customer Service Centre for a claim form.

If the disaster or event occurs outside Australia, and the Minister declares that the AGDRP is payable, Centrelink will have the claim form and lodgement details on the Centrelink website, or you may call the Disaster hotline, which will also be displayed.

You must lodge a claim for AGDRP within six months of the disaster, so if you are 'adversely affected' by the disaster, and unable to lodge a claim at the time of the disaster for any reason, please contact Centrelink as soon as possible.
