Payment rates
These payment rates for the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) are effective from 20 September 2009.

| a child | $400 |
Note: A "child" is any person under (but not including) the age of 16 years who is not receiving a social security payment. The child’s payment is made to their parent or primary carer.
You usually get paid in a lump sum. However, if you are on an income support payment you can choose to be paid fortnightly.
Income and assets
To receive the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment, you do not have to meet income or assets tests.
