Payment rates
These payment rates are effective from 20 March 2012.
Maternity Immunisation Allowance is a non-taxable payment that is generally paid in 2 separate amounts of $129 each:
- the 1st amount is paid for children who meet the immunisation requirements between 18 and 24 months of age, and
- the 2nd amount is paid for children who meet the immunisation requirements between 4 and 5 years of age.
Note: Different rules apply for children adopted from overseas.
Income and assets tests
To qualify for Maternity Immunisation Allowance, you do not have to meet income or assets tests.
Payment adjustments
Maternity Immunisation Allowance will be indexed on 1 July each year in line with the Consumer Price Index, which is in line with increases in the cost of living.
