These payment rates of Mobility Allowance are effective from 20 March 2012.

Income and assets
To qualify for Mobility Allowance, you do not have to meet income or assets tests.
Taxation
Mobility Allowance is not taxed.
Motor vehicles
You can qualify for Mobility Allowance if you have a goods and services tax exemption on a car.
You cannot qualify for Mobility Allowance if you have a motor vehicle from the Department of Veterans' Affairs under the Vehicle Assistance Scheme.
Finishing employment or training
If you finish your employment or training, but still meet the other eligibility requirements, you may still receive Mobility Allowance for another 12 weeks.
Payment adjustments and reviews
Mobility Allowance is usually adjusted on 1 January each year in line with the Consumer Price Index - that is, in line with increases in the costs of living.
Your Mobility Allowance is usually reviewed each year.
