Payments
Variable Reporting
In most cases you must put in your application for payment form every fortnight and you do not get paid until you put in your next form the following fortnight.
In some cases, however, you may be able to receive your payment every fortnight and only put in your form every 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks.
Qualifying for variable reporting
You can usually qualify for variable reporting if you are:
- satisfying the Activity Test by means other than undertaking paid work, or
- taking reasonable steps to comply with an Employment Pathway Plan that requires full-time unpaid voluntary work, or
- incapacitated for work and are exempt from, or not required to satisfy the Activity Test, or
- aged 55 or over and your income is not likely to change while on variable reporting, or
- eligible for other reasons.
You cannot qualify for variable reporting if you:
- have a Centrelink debt, or
- have regular variable casual earnings, or
- do not satisfy compliance, qualification and payment criteria.
