Payments
Change of circumstances
You will need to tell us if your circumstances change while you are receiving Parenting Payment. For example, you need to tell us if:
- your child stops living with you
- you are getting child support payments, and the amount changes
- you move
- your or your partner’s income changes
- you separate from your partner
- you start living with a new partner.
You need to let us know within 14 days in case this affects your Parenting Payment.
- If you don't tell us about the changes you may be overpaid, and you will probably have to pay the money back.
- If you deliberately do not tell us about changes, you could be charged with fraud.
- You may have to pay a fee if you give us incorrect information about your employment income.
