How much Double Orphan Pension do I get?

This payment rate is effective from 20 September 2008. Double Orphan Pension is a non-taxable payment. It is usually paid on top of Family Tax Benefit. If you have not claimed Family Tax Benefit for the child, you need to make a claim.

  • This payment is not subject to an income test.
  • This payment is not subject to an assets tests.

Please Note: *An additional component of Double Orphan Pension may be payable. The additional component will be equal to the difference between the carer's entitlement to Family Tax Benefit for the young person and the Family Tax Benefit received for the young person immediately before they became a double orphan. This component is not payable to approved care organisations.
