Payment dependencies
To get a Pension Bonus you must be in the Pension Bonus Scheme for at least 1 year. You can only be paid for 5 years in the scheme. You cannot include any work you do after you turn 75 years of age.
The bonus amount you get depends on:
- the amount of basic Age Pension you are entitled to, and
- the length of time you have been in the Pension Bonus Scheme, and
- whether or not you have a partner.
Note: If you are not entitled to any Age Pension, you cannot be paid a bonus.
