How do I Qualify for a Pharmaceutical Allowance?
You qualify for Pharmaceutical Allowance if you are receiving:
- a pension from Centrelink, or
- Sickness Allowance, Bereavement Allowance, Carer Payment (adult), Carer Payment (child), or Parenting Payment (Single), or
- Youth Allowance (Jobseeker, full-time student or new apprentice), Newstart Allowance, ABSTUDY, Partner Allowance, Parenting Payment (Partnered), Special Benefit or Widow Allowance during a period of temporary illness, or
- Newstart Allowance, Widow Allowance
, Partner Allowance, Parenting Payment (Partnered), Austudy, ABSTUDY Payment or Special Benefit and have turned 60 and have been receiving income support payments continuously for at least nine months, or
- Newstart Allowance, Parenting Payment (Partnered) or Youth Allowance (job seeker) and have been assessed as having a partial capacity for work, or
- Newstart Allowance or Youth Allowance (jobseeker) and a single principal carer.
