How do I Qualify for a Wife Pension?Wife Pension is gradually being phased out. New grants of Wife Pension stopped on 1 July 1995, however if you were receiving Wife Pension before that date, you can continue to receive the payment until you are transferred to Age Pension. Wife Pension is not activity tested so you do not have to look for work or do training. You can, however, get help to find work through Jobs, Education and Training.
