Carer Payment care receivers income and assets limits
Carer Payment is subject to a care receiver income and assets test as shown below. This income and assets test is current as of 1 January 2012.
Care receiver income test
- The income limit for a non-customer care receiver to qualify their carer for Carer Payment is $100,450.

Care receiver assets test
- The assets limit for a non-customer care receiver to qualify their carer for Carer Payment is $619,500.
- If non-customer care receiver assets levels are over $619,500 under certain circumstances the non-customer care receiver's assets test may not disqualify the carer from Carer Payment.
- Current liquid assets limits for non-customer care receivers are $6,000 (single) and $10,000 (partnered).
