Search tips
The basic search with one or more keywords should return the results you are after within the first page. This page will explain some of the more advanced search options that may help you refine your search or to create a more advanced search term.
Advanced search methods
Multiple keywords
This is the default search method which takes a number of keywords or terms and will return pages or documents that contain all of these words, in any order anywhere on the page.
Example: claim form
Phrase
This search allows you to search for an exact phrase that returns results only from pages or documents that have the phrase in that exact order. Place your search terms within quotes.
Example: "child care tax rebate"
Page title
If you wish to search only within the title of the page, place t: before the search terms.
Example: t:newstart
Disjunction (or)
Search for one mandatory term and optionally any of other individual terms.
Example: newstart [claim form] will return results that must contain the word newstart and either claim or form or both claim and form.
Proximity
To search for keywords that appear within 15 words of each other, surround the 2 keywords in back quotes (`).
Example: `payments studying`
