Job Services AustraliaFrom 1 July 2009, new employment services were introduced in Australia. These are known as Job Services Australia. Job Services Australia is a national network of organisations dedicated to helping job seekers to find and sustain employment. Assistance provided by Job Services Australia includes the following:
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations contracts organisations to provide Job Services Australia assistance. Not all Job Services Australia members provide the full range of services outlined above. Centrelink assists job seekers by providing:
Job seekers claiming Newstart, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment (with participation requirements) will immediately be referred to a Job Services Australia provider at their first contact with Centrelink to help them find employment. More information
