Australian Apprenticeship Centres
About Australian Apprenticeships
Australian Apprenticeships is a training and employment program run by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). It incorporates traineeships and apprenticeships and has been designed to provide more flexible arrangements in the labour market for both employers and employees.
The aim of the program is to provide:
- increased career path opportunities in a greater number of industries and occupations
- nationally portable training accreditation
- full-time, part-time and school based arrangements
- a wider choice of training providers for employers.
The flexible arrangements are being introduced gradually and may vary between industries and between States and Territories.
Customers interested in advertised Australian Apprenticeship vacancies should make contact with the provider or employer who has placed the vacancies on Centrelink Self-Service PCs or in newspapers.
