What is Share?
The "Share" feature allows you to share our website’s content (general information, publications, forms and videos) with family and friends on your social networking sites, such as Delicious, Facebook and Twitter.
Social networking or social media sites are Internet communities that encourage the sharing of information, stories and news articles with friends, family and other people that have accounts within their communities.
Who do we share with?
We are currently trialling this feature with 5 social networking sites:
- Delicious (formerly del.icio.us) a social bookmarking web service
- Facebook - a social networking site
- LinkedIn - a business-oriented social networking site
- StumbleUpon - a way to discover and share web sites
- Twitter - a microblogging site
Our list of share sites will be reviewed following the trial.
How to use Share
To use the "Share" feature you will first need to have an account with one of the sites that we share with.
Registration is usually quite simple and on most social networking sites it’s free. Once you have an account, you can share as much of our content with these sites as you want.
Sharing information from our website is very easy. On every page, generally in the top right we have included "Share" buttons.
Selecting one of these buttons will send the URL (address) and title of the page that you are on and add it to whichever social network site you have chosen.
