The difference between viewing and saving an RTF document
Viewing an RTF document opens the RTF directly in your web browser using what is known as a plug-in. A plug-in is a small program that adds extra features to your web browser. Depending on the word processor you are using your web browser may already have an appropriate plug-in to view RTF documents. Please refer to the help file of your word processor for further instructions.
Saving an RTF means that a copy of the RTF will be stored on your computer. This RTF can then be opened at any time in a word processing program such as Microsoft Word, Lotus WordPro or Open Office.
Note: RTF documents should not be opened in text only programs such as WordPad as elements contained within the document such as tables will not display correctly.
